Danil Akimov
Danil Akimov is an artist, curator and DJ. He lives and works in Kaliningrad. Since 1998 he has been actively engaged in multidisciplinary areas of contemporary art, specializing in sound design, audiovisual installations and performances. One of the founders of the sound art collective Membrana/Membranoids. In his work with sound he employs various methods and devices: fabricated and self-made electromusical instruments, scientific and medical equipment, household appliances, field recordings, half-organic objects. One of the founders of ArtEgo project since 2003, initiating many local cultural events in the sphere of entertainment: thematical dance/fashion parties, a cinema club, performances and concerts. As a curator of NCCA Baltic Branch since 2004, he realizes various long-term international projects (SoundArtLab, Audio Rourism, Acoustic Diagnostic, Kaliningrad SoundArtCamp, Sound Around fest, etc), focused on sound art and experimental music.
Данил Акимов - художник, куратор и диджей. Живет и работает в Калининграде. С 1998 года активно работает в междисциплинарных сферах современного искусства, специализируясь на звуковом дизайне, аудио-визуальных инсталляциях и перформансах. Один из основателей саунд-арт группы Membrana/Membranoids. В работе со звуком использует различные методы и оборудование: фабричные и самодельные электро-музыкальные инструменты, научное и медицинское оборудование, бытовую технику, полевые записи, полу органические объекты. C 2003 года - один из основателей проекта АртЭго, инициирующего множество локальных культурных событий развлекательного характера: тематические dance/fashion вечеринки, киноклуб, перформансы и концерты. С 2004 года – куратор БФ ГЦСИ. Как куратор реализует ряд долгосрочных международных проектов (SoundArtLab, Audio tourism, Acoustic Diagnostic, Kaliningrad SoundArtCamp, Sound Around fest, и др.), фокусирующихся на саундарте и экспериментальной музыке.
